Toshiba set to showcase 512GB solid-state drive
Japanese consumer electronics major Toshiba has announced that they would be displaying a 512GB solid-state drive at the Consumer Electronics Show next month.
The company aims to begin mass shipment of this drive in the second quarter of next year.
This would be one of the largest capacity solid state drive available in the market when it is launched in the market.
Samsung and Micron are already mass producing a 256GB solid state drive.
Toshiba also plans to start offering a new range of SSDs in capacities of 64GB, 128GB, and 256GB. These would be available in 1.8-inch or 2.5-inch drive enclosures or as SSD Flash Modules.
