Apple acquires a small stake in British chip designer firm Imagination
US based computer manufacturer Apple has acquired a smallish stake in the British chip designer company Imagination.
Imagination said in a statement that Apple paid 3.2 million pounds for a 3.6 percent stake in the company.
The company designs chip cores for a variety of products including mobile phones.
Market analysts believe that this company could soon become a equipment supplier for Apple products like iPods and iPhones.
