Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation for faster internet access in libraries
Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation has donated $6.9 million to provide faster internet access in public libraries.
These funds would be used to upgrade the systems in seven states in USA.
These states are: Arkansas, California, Kansas, Massachusetts, New York, Texas and Virginia.
The money has been provided to Connected Nation and the American Library Association.
Connected Nation is a nonprofit broadband advocacy group.
Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation has been donating funds for similar initiatives in the past.
Till date, they have donated $325 million in grants and computer equipment to U.S. Libraries.
