HP MediaSmart Server now has mac specific features
Hewlett Packard has announced the launch of an updated home storage/media server which comes with features specific to Apple Macs.
This MediaSmart server is powered with Microsoft Windows Home Server platform.
The company said that it can operate as a central repository for digital music, videos, photos and documents from multiple computers on a home network.
The device has been designed to organizes files across all computers including Macs on a local network. It can also stream media files over the Internet. Users can also set it up to automatically upload files to social networks.
Facebook, Picasa Web Albums and Snapfish are supported.
The server also supports the Mac OS X Leopard Time Machine feature for data backup from Macs.
