Samsung set to launch 7 HDTV at upcoming CES show

South Korean tech giant Samsung is expected to come out with their latest range of HD Television sets.

The company is likely to showcase several new models at the upcoming CES show.

Market sources claim that Samsung is going to introduce one new 3-series model, three new 4-series TVs, two new 4-series models and four 6-series sets.

The company is also said to be planning to launch a new 7-series model, the 7U at this upcoming event.

These new television sets would come loaded with a host of new features. Customers would be able to upgrade the firmware of the television set through Internet connectivity.

Some of these models would feature support for 1080p movies encoded in the MKV, WMV, VOB, AVI, TS, 3GP, MGP and ASF file formats.
