Advanced Micro Devices cutting more jobs
Microprocessor company Advanced Micro Devices has announced that they have laid off 600 workers.
This means that the company has fired around 100 more employees than earlier announced.
AMD added that they are going to take yet another charge related to its acquisition of ATI.
The company added that it now expects to record $70 million in restructuring charges. They had previously said that the figure would be around $50 million.
AMD has been struggling in the microprocessor market as Intel has made a strong comeback and have taken the market by storm with their new processor products.
