BT-1 Bluetooth wireless webcam announced
Webcams are going wireless on the Bluetooth technology.
Ecamm Network has announced a new product named BT-1 which is a Bluetooth technology powered wireless webcam.
It is compatible with Apple Macs and they are going to showcase it at the upcoming MacWorld.
The company would start selling this model in March for USD 150.
The manufacturers claim that the device can stream H.264-encoded video at 640-by-480-pixel resolution, and AAC-encoded audio at 48 kHz.
The company added that the device works with applications like Apple iChat and Skype on Mac OS X. The webcam would ship with a USB cable for recharging. It however requires Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard or later and Bluetooth 2.0+EDR or better for working properly.
