Apple iPhone Gloves!

Apple has filed a patent related to a glove that can be used on multi-touch devices like the Apple iPhone 3G.

This would solve problems for those iPhone users who find it tough to use the phone in cold weather conditions.

The patent application states that the touchscreen on these devices are hard to use in colder weather.

These require electrical response which is generated by finger tips. So, they fail to work if the user is wearing any form of clothing on the hand.

Apple’s patent talks of a glove which features a second, inner layer. This layer is designed to simulate the electrical feedback of human fingers when used with a touchscreen device.

Interestingly, the patent’s filing date is June 28th, 2007 which is just around the launch of the first generation iPhone.
