Steve Jobs is suffering from nutritional ailment

A lot is being said about Apple CEO Steve Jobs’ health. We now have an update from the man himself.

Steve Jobs has stated that he is suffering from a nutritional ailment and is being treated for it.

Jobs added that he plans to continue working at Apple as its CEO for the time being.

He said: “I have been losing weight throughout 2008. The reason has been a mystery to me and my doctors. After further testing, my doctors think they have found the cause — a hormone imbalance that has been ‘robbing’ me of the proteins my body needs to be healthy.”

Jobs was treated for a form of pancreatic cancer in 2004. He made a smashing recovery and has led Apple to great heights. He is the force behind all the popular Apple products of this generation… Apple Mac, Apple iPod and Apple iPhone.

Apple’s board said in a separate statement on Jobs: “It is widely recognized both inside and outside of Apple that Steve Jobs is one of the most talented and effective CEOs in the world. If there ever comes a day when Steve wants to retire or for other reasons cannot continue to fulfill his duties as Apple’s CEO, you will know it.”

Apple had recently said that Jobs would not be making an appearance at the ongoing MacWorld.
