Sony VAIO P netbooks launched
Japanese consumer electronics manufacturer Sony has announced their latest netbook range Sony VAIO P.
Sony VAIO P is not aimed at the regular netbook buyers as they are pretty pricey compared to the competition.
The company has aimed to provide fully featured notebook features in this ultra compact computing machine.
Sony said that their model is about the size of a business envelope and almost as thin as mobile phones.
This makes them ultra portable but very usable for traveling corporate user.
Sony VAIO P series features a LED eight-inch display with a resolution of 1600 x 768 pixels. It is a ultra-wide screen designed to prevent scrolling on web pages and company spreadsheets.
It also comes with support for mobile 3G technologies in addition to 802.11n Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.
Sony has also equipped the machine with a webcam and GPS. The machines would be sold with maps of the United States and Canada in these markets.
Intel Atom processor powers this netbook which also has 2GB of RAM. 60GB hard disk is standard though customers can order it with 128-GB solid-state drive.
