Netflix and Film Independent launches a movie contest
Netflix and Film Independent are collaborating together to launch a new contest for independent movie makers.
They are going to award the winner $350,000 in cash and production support to make a movie.
Josh Brolin is one of the judges in this contest. The winner would also get distribution support from Netflix.
Netflix said that they would pick the winner in July this year.
Ted Sarandos, chief content officer for Netflix spoke about this contest: “Netflix is all about connecting people with movies they’ll love, and a large part of that mission has been about finding just the right audience for films that otherwise would have had real challenges finding a market.”
