Circuit City Stores in talks with two parties for a deal

Circuit City Stores has announced that they are now in talks with two different parties for a deal.

The talks are related to a possible acquisition deal. They could also get finances from one of the two parties to continue their operations.

Circuit City had filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in November last year.

They are the second largest electronics retail store chain in the US market. Best Buy is the top player in this segment of the market.

Circuit City incidentally has been looking for a deal since May last year when they revealed potential talks with Blockbuster.
