China Mobile working on Ophone based on Google Android?
Market sources are pointing to rumors that China Mobile is working on a mobile phone device based on Google Android.
This new mobile phone is said to be named Ophone.
Sources say that the phone would support the country’s own homegrown third-generation mobile network TD-SCDMA.
Lenovo Mobile is said to be manufacturing this device for the company. It is a division of the Chinese personal computer maker Lenovo.
China Mobile has declined to comment on these reports.
It’s worth noting here that some images of a phone with the label Lenovo were seen on the web some weeks ago.
