2010 Mercedes-Benz E-Class shown to limited audience

Mercedes had announced their plans to reveal their 2010 Mercedes-Benz E-Class model at the North American International Auto Show.

The company distributed photos of this new updated edition but only a few selected guests were allowed to see the actual car.

Mercedes might reveal the car to the general public at the Geneva motor show in March.

The company is likely to introduce this fresh model in the US market later this year.

The US edition of the car would have two engine options initially:
E350 with a 268-hp, 258-lb-ft V6
E550 with a 382-hp, 391-lb-ft V8

The company also plans to launch the E350 BlueTEC diesel in early 2010.
