Steve Ballmer still says no Zune Phone

Apple is doing great with their iPhone mobile phone device.

So much so that the analysts are predicting a total dominance for the company in the coming years.

Microsoft is noticing this but they still have no plans to manufacture a mobile phone themselves.

Ballmer had said at the launch of the iPhone that they do not believe Apple would have much success with the device. That well did not turn out to be true.

He still believes that they do not need to manufacture devices themselves. The company is however looking at the possibility of Zune functionality being made available in devices powered by their Windows Mobile OS.

Ballmer also admitted that the age of portable media players is going as consumers are going for more capable devices like the iPod Touch.
