Apple iSight to disappear behind the display screen in future?
Apple has filed a patent that would see the iSight webcam hidden behind the display on a Mac.
Apple iSight is already very neatly integrated on the Apple Macs but the company is looking at the possibility of totally hiding it behind the screen.
The aim is to probably enable the user to watch on the camera while video conferencing with friends and relatives.
Currently, the user can either watch the camera or the screen while conversing in a video chat.
Apple had filed a patent related to this technology way back in July 2007. Apple states in the filing: “Constantly looking back and forth between the display screen and the camera … can be distracting and make the conversation seem awkward and unnatural.”
