Yahoo confirms Carol Bartz as their new CEO
US based internet media giant Yahoo has now confirmed the appointment of Carol Bartz as their new CEO.
She comes to Yahoo at a time when the company is really struggling. It has had failed talks with Microsoft. The company faces massive competition from Google in the search engine and online advertising market.
Bartz was most recently the Executive Chairman of Autodesk.
She has also been named as a new member of the company’s board.
Bartz has also worked in the past for other big companies including Sun Microsystems, Digital Equipment Corporation and 3M.
