China now has 298 million internet users
China continues to gain in the total internet user base.
The country is now said to have as many as 298 million internet users.
China had overtaken the US market last year on this statistic.
China Internet Network Information Center claimed in a report that this figure is a 41.9 percent increase over the same period last year.
The country is soon going to get access to mobile 3G networks which could further boost this figure to record levels.
