Hyundai India launches a new edition of Sonata
South Korean automaker Hyundai has launched a brand new edition of their Sonata luxury sedan in the Indian market.
The company said that they are hoping to sell more Sonatas in the market with this new model.
This new model has been named Hyundai Sonata Transform.
H.S. Lheem, Managing Director, Hyundai Motor India spoke about this new model: “Unfortunately, the total market size for such premium cars was about 8,000 units last year. We expect to sell about 1,000 units of Sonata.”
Hyundai Sonata is being offered at a discounted introductory pricing.
The 2.4 liter petrol edition is available for Rs 13.9 lakh, (ex showroom, Delhi).
The 2.0 liter diesel edition with manual transmission is available for Rs 14.9 lakh.
The 2.0 liter diesel edition with automatic transmission is available for Rs. 15.9 lakh.
The company is now working on bringing their new SUV model Santa Fe to the Indian market.
