Kobe Bryant to blog for Sina.com
Los Angeles Lakers player Kobe Bryant is going to blog on the popular Chinese portal Sina.com.
Market sources say that he has signed a very lucrative deal with the chinese company for this blog.
Bryant is very popular in China where US basketball has a huge following due to the emergence of Houston Rockets star Yao Ming.
Bryant spoke at this blog launch: “As a kid growing up I never in my wildest dreams thought I would have this big fan base half way around the world in Beijing and Shanghai. They know everything about me and my family. We had such a great time at the Beijing Olympics. They treated us very well.”
The blog would be in chinese translation and would be exclusive to Sina.com.
Sina.com declined to reveal the financial aspects of their deal with Kobe Bryant.
