Salesforce.com launches Service Cloud

Salesforce.com has announced the launch of their next-generation solution for customer service.

This new product has been named Service Cloud and it is based on the company’s Force.com platform.

The company said that this cloud computing based solution will capture customer-service conversations with the aim of enabling clients to leverage the expertise of partner sites to customers, agents and partners.

Marc Benioff, chairman and CEO of salesforce.com added: “The Service Cloud is the first customer-service solution that empowers companies to join and manage all service conversations happening in the cloud. This has been made possible through the emergence of native cloud-computing platforms like Force.com that are built to harness the power of other clouds like Facebook, Google and Amazon.com.”
