Microsoft again targeted by European Union

European Commission has accused the US based software giant Microsoft of harming the competition by bundling their internet explorer web browser with Windows OS.

The commission said in a statement that they have reached the preliminary view that the company has undermined consumer choice and infringed EU rules.

EU said: “Microsoft’s tying of Internet Explorer to the Windows operating system harms competition between web browsers, undermines product innovation and ultimately reduces consumer choice.”

Microsoft has said that they are still studying this latest attack by EU and would respond appropriately.

The company has already been fined massively by the EU.
