Intel launches new Core 2 quad-core processors

US based microprocessor industry giant Intel has launched a couple of new Core 2 quad-core processors.

These new generation of processors are very power efficient as the company is targeting makers of all in one desktops.

These new processors are:

Intel Q9550s: 2.83 GHz, 12 MB of L2 cache
Intel Q9400s: 2.66 GHz, 6 MB of L2 cache
Intel Q8200s: 2.33 GHz, 4 MB of L2 cache

All of these processors feature a 1333-MHz front-side bus.

Intel claims that these new processors consume a maximum of 65 watts of power.

The company has also slashed the prices of some of their older chips. Prices of their earlier generation processors have gone down by as much as 40%.
