Linden Lab acquires Xtreet and OnRez
Makers and operators of virtual world Second Life, Linden Lab have announced that they are acquiring XStreet SL and OnRez.
The financial aspects of these two deals were not revealed to the media.
Xtreet and OnRez are just two of the many companies which act as brokers of virtual goods available on Second Life.
Tom Hale, chief product officer of Linden Lab added that their service is performing well even in these tough economic times.
He said that the residents of the Second Life traded $100.8 million worth of virtual items in the three months ended Dec. 31. This is up from $65.4 million in the same period a year earlier.
