Sony planning to launch innovative mobile devices to beat the slump
Sony CEO Howard Stringer has hinted that the company is on its way to launch a variety of innovative mobile devices in the coming months to beat the slump in the market.
He said: “We will tap our unique strengths in gaming, entertainment, digital imaging and telephony to fast track a line-up of next-generation mobile devices.”
Sony already has their PlayStation Portable mobile gaming machine which competes with Nintendo DS in the market.
The company said that they are aiming to ship 15 million PSPs in the current financial year which ends in March.
Sony also manufacture mobile phones in collaboration with Ericsson. These phones are offered under the brand name Sony Ericsson.
