YouTube to expand partnership with media companies over advertising

Google owned video sharing service YouTube has announced that they are now expanding partnerships with media companies.

The company would now let their partners to sell advertising for their video content that appears on YouTube.

This option is currently open to select Google partners including CBS.

The companies would be able to sell advertising not only on the videos they upload but also on the videos uploaded by others which have their copyrighted content.

This expanded program is part of Google’s aim to boost revenues from YouTube which is largely a loss making division for the company.
