Solar Eclipse scheduled for January 26
The first solar eclipse of the year is scheduled for January 26.
Scientists have reported that it could be seen from southern parts of Africa, Antarctica, South East Asia and Australia.
It would begin at 10.26 am and ends at 4.30 pm on Monday.
Incidentally, it also is the Republic Day here in India and people would be able to see a partial eclipse in most parts of the country.
The best view is likely to be in Port Blair where it will be 39.4 per cent at greatest phase of the eclipse.
