Zune revenues declining for Microsoft
Microsoft might be continuing with their Zune media player but it’s not really doing any good for them.
The Zune has already failed to do what it was designed for. Take on Apple iPod.
Apple outdid Microsoft with the launch of the iPod Touch which remains the king of the high end portable media player market.
Microsoft on the other hand seems to be losing the sales of their media player Zune.
Company’s report points out that the Zune platform revenue decreased $100 million compared to previous year.
This was largely due to falling sales of the player itself. It remains to be seen how long Microsoft would continue with new Zune models to stay in this market.
