Verizon Hub VoIP based home phone launched

Verizon Wireless has launched a new home phone which uses VoIP technology to make calls.

This new product has been named Verizon Hub. It plugs into the internet line available in the house.

Verizon claims that this product can work as a family calendar, messaging center and even a digital picture frame.

It also features a rudimentary web browser for casual surfing.

The device is powered with Linux powered operating system based on OpenPeak’s OpenFrame design.

It features a decent 8-inch, 800×480 touchscreen.
