Apple iPhone Developers want trial mode feature asap
Apple recently announced that the Apple App Store currently host more than 15000 applications.
A lot of these applications are free but not every developer can offer free versions of their applications.
Some developers are including advertising to give away their products for free.
One of the primary reason is that the store has no option for the developers to give away a trial version of their application.
Not everyone is going to pay up for an application that is not associated with a big brand.
Developers for the iPhone platform are hoping that Apple would soon enable them to offer a time limited trial versions of applications which are otherwise sold on the store.
This would enable the user to check the application before he pays for it.
This would further enhance the value of the Apple App Store and more developers would become interested in developing more capable tools for the iPhone.
Limitations are bad for developers. It is pretty clear from the current state of Google Android Market.
Google G1 is available in the US and European market for months now. But the Android store just has few applications. Google has still not enabled the payment gateway on this store so all the applications are free for download.
