Epix premium movie channel to be launched online
MGM, Paramount Pictures, and Lions Gate have announced that they are going to launch a new premium movie channel named Epix.
This channel would feature more than 15,000 movies from the three studios.
It would be launched online through a subscription based web service.
It would later be launched as a television channel.
It would take on rival movie channels including HBO and Showtime.
They have a strong lineup for the movie fans like the recent blockbusters The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, Iron Man etc.
This channel was primary launched after the three companies failed to get into a deal with Showtime.
