Websense has acquired Defensio
Web security service provider Websense has announced that they are acquiring Defensio.
Defensio is one of the few challengers of Akismet which provides blog spam protection services.
The financial aspects of this deal have not been revealed.
Websense said in its statement that they would now integrate Defensio into its ThreatSeeker Network.
They are also going to expand the supported applications to further broaden the service network.
We have tried Defensio in the past but reverted back to Akismet for its simplicity. Akismet is owned by Automattic.
