Wall Street Journal: Dell working on mobile phone division

Wall Street Journal has reported that the US based personal computer maker Dell has a group of developers working on potential mobile phone products.

The report claims that Dell has a group of engineers working on the phones for more than a year from an office in the Chicago area.

This news come just days after Acer announced that they are going to launch their first smartphones next month.

Apple and HP are already players in the smartphone market and Dell is the only remaining PC maker to not have a mobile phone model in its range.

Dell has not yet confirmed these rumors but it is unlikely that they would not want to take on Apple in this market.
