Apple iPhone has a 1.1% stake in the mobile phone market
Apple has done it again. The company has apparently gained a 1.1% stake in the global mobile phone market.
Steve Jobs had revealed that they wanted to achieve a 1% stake in the market by the end of the 2008 year.
He said that at the launch event of the first generation iPhone. Apple iPhone is in second generation at the moment.
Apple iPhone 3G was launched last year and it is now on sale in various countries around the world.
ABI Research has stated that Apple grew from just 0.3 percent in 2007 to 1.1 percent in 2008.
The company sold 13.7 million iPhone 3G units last year putting it close to established manufacturers like HTC and Sharp.
