Yahoo Search Pad launched to compliment searching
US based internet media giant Yahoo has announced the test launch of their Search Pad service.
The company said that this new feature would detect when a user has begun in-depth research on their search engine.
The search engine would then offer to assist the search by offering an online notebook to keep a track of the results.
If the user enables this feature, it would display a page which comes filled with information from the pages he has already visited during the ongoing research.
Users would then be able to annotate results, delete and re-order pages on the search pad.
Larry Cornett, vice president for product for Yahoo Search spoke about this new feature addition: “It’s our hope that the people doing research with Yahoo are able to be more effective. That may drive more engagement or drive them to come back more often.”
