India’s USD 10 laptop is not a laptop after all
Indian government shocked the tech market when they announced their plans to launch a USD 10 laptop.
This device was to be named Sakshat.
Reports claimed that the laptop would cost USD 20 to manufacture but it would be offered at a subsidized price.
The device in the end turned out to be a disappointment.
In fact, it is not even a laptop. It looks like a storage device with around 2GB capacity.
Reports say that this device is to be connected to a laptop to access the data. It is also expected to cost much more at around USD 30.
Not many details are available though.
