Microsoft launches gossip site Wonderwall.com
Microsoft’s MSN web portal has launched a new gossip website named Wonderwall.
The service is designed to mimic the look of a celebrity magazine and is pretty interactive.
They are using Adobe Flash technology to power this new site. We had expected that it would be running Silverlight instead.
The company said that this new service would be produced by Hollywood company BermanBraun.
Rob Bennett, general manager of network programming for MSN said: “I think the industry, at large, sort of stayed in that mode for probably too long, and I think we could have pushed the innovation more to take advantage of the benefits of the online medium.”
They are aiming to use interactive advertising on this service to enhance the revenues.
