Rumors: Microsoft could launch its own smartphone at GSMA Mobile World Congress

US based software giant Microsoft has repeatedly denied that they are working on their own range of mobile devices.

The company provides Windows Mobile operating system to mobile phone makers around the world.

A market source claims that the company could launch their first smartphone at the upcoming GSMA Mobile World Congress.

The report said that this phone is powered by Nvidia’s Tegra processor and a telecommunications baseband chip from Qualcomm.

Microsoft already has a presence in the MP3 players market with their Zune range of players. The company could become a rival to their partners in the mobile market if they indeed launch their own branded mobile phones.
