Discovery launch postponed for sometime
US space agency NASA has announced that they are delaying the next week’s launch of space shuttle Discovery.
NASA is currently running test the newly installed valves on the shuttle to make sure they do not cause any problems during the launch.
NASA stated that the launch will take place no sooner than Feb. 19. This is a week’s delay at the least.
NASA’s space operations chief, Bill Gerstenmaier spoke about the delay: “We want to make sure we’ve got this right. This has important consequences to us. So we think standing down for a little bit of time and letting the folks do a little more work is a good thing.”
