Five new AMD Phenom II processors launched
AMD has launched five new AMD Phenom II branded processors.
Two of these new chips have three cores while the rest of the three are quad core processors.
With this, AMD has launched yet another attack on Intel which dominates the performance processor segment.
AMD said that all of these new processors are aimed at the consumer desktops. These are manufacturing using the company’s 45-nanometer manufacturing process.
These processor consume less power at 95 watts and are still pretty powerful for advance computing.
These new processors are available in 2.5 gigahertz to 2.8 gigahertz speeds. Prices range from $145 to $175.
AMD said that they aim to launch more processors in this segment of the market as this processor manufacturing technology has enough space left for more powerful chips.
