Archos Internet Media Tablet based on Google Android
Archos has announced that they are working on an Internet Media Tablet which would be powered with Google Android mobile operating system.
Google designed the Android platform for mobile devices but they have been giving hints on a broader utility.
Archos seems to have picked up the idea for their upcoming model that is likely to be launched before the holiday season this year.
The company did not reveal the potential pricing bracket for this new device but the specifications are pretty promising.
Archos say that the device would feature a high resolution 5 inch display. It would support TV recording and HD video playback. Storage options are likely to be massive (up to 500GB!). In addition, it would also support Adobe Flash technology for playing online videos.
