Ford to display 2010 Taurus sedan at Chicago Auto Show

US based automaker Ford would be displaying their upcoming 2010 Taurus sedan at the Chicago Auto Show today.

The company said that this edition would come loaded with all-wheel drive and an advanced V6 engine.

Ford said that this model gave a fuel efficiency of 25 m.p.g. in EPA highway fuel economy tests.

This matches the mileage provided by competing products in the market including Acura TL SH-AWD and Volkswagen CC.

Market analyst Stephanie Brinley had this to say on this new model: “It’s important for an automaker to look beyond the current situation and have some exciting models. It’s also significant that they’re presenting the SHO with a powertrain sensitive to today’s climate and concerns about fuel economy and emissions.”

Ford would start selling this new model later this year at prices starting at around $37,995.
