4 billion mobile connections worldwide!
GSMA has revealed in a report that the global mobile market now serve more than 4 billion subscribers!
This is an amazing number considering the world’s population is less than 7 billion.
GSMA said that they are on track to touch 6 billion market by 2013.
4 billion connections does not necessarily means that there are 4 billion mobile users around the world.
A lot of developed nations have consumers owning more than one connections.
GSMA further claimed that some 100 million of these connections are mobile broadband enabled. This refers to the mobile cards used on laptops to access the web.
