Reports: Sony Music Entertainment have renewed deal with YouTube

Market reports claim that Sony Music Entertainment has renewed their deal with Google owned video sharing service YouTube.

This deal would enable YouTube to continue hosting videos owned by Sony. This include artists like Beyonce and Avril Lavigne.

Warner Music Group is one of the major labels which has ended its deal with YouTube. That forced YouTube to remove lots of Warner videos from their service.

Universal Music Group and EMI are currently in a deal with YouTube but these are to be renewed in the near future as well.

Google needs the content from these services to retain the value of YouTube. They have just started selling videos through YouTube so this new feature might enable them to keep the content providers happy.

Hopefully, many of the Elvis Presley Videos will be returned to You Tube in all their glory.
