Sprint working on Google Android phone while Pre is coming soon

Sprint CEO Dan Hesse has stated that the company is working hard on their first Google Android powered mobile phone.

They are currently scheduled to launch the much awaited Palm Pre in the coming months.

T-Mobile USA currently is the only seller of the Google G1 Android powered mobile phone. They are also expected to soon launch the G2 model (HTC Magic).

Hesse said that they have high expectations from the Palm Pre which is a crucial launch for Palm as they are coming out with a brand new mobile platform Palm webOS discarding Palm OS.

Hesse added that they are working hard to make sure that they launch the Pre smartphone at the right time with enough testing and preparation.

I have been a long time sprint user. I joined then because at the time thet had the best phones and the best plans. now days it seems they only hve the best plans.

its about time we quit following the crowd and become a leader and innovator in phones. the comptition has a distint edge on sprint right now since they could not compete with their phones, a big thing for most buyers.

I am happy with sprint overall and would hate to be forced to make a switch.

Hurry up Sprint! I won’t wait much longer before converting to T-mobile.
