Apple launches iTunes Pass in collaboration with EMI
Apple has collaborated with media company EMI to launch a new way to purchase music. They call it iTunes Pass.
EMI announced that Depeche Mode would be the first band to be available for purchase through the iTunes Pass.
The two companies announced that the users signing up for this iTunes Pass would get automatic access to exclusive singles, remixes, video and other content as soon as it is made available.
For example, the iTunes Pass for Depeche Mode would provide early access to the band’s new single “Wrong” from their forthcoming album “Sounds of the Universe”.
Customers would also get access to video exclusives before and after the album’s release.
Apple is offering the iTunes Pass for Depeche Mode for USD 18.99.
