Kumo search to be tested by Microsoft
Microsoft has revealed that they are soon going to start internal testing of Kumo search engine.
Kumo is an update planned for their Live Search engine.
Sources say that it can turn out to be a new brand for the company’s search engine technology.
Microsoft for now has this to say: “Kumo is the name of an internal test environment we are launching to a small sampling of employees…this week.”
Microsoft is also incidentally testing another search tool called Viveri.
Microsoft spoke about the differences between these two: “They are different but they are complementary.”
It remains to be seen if the Kumo update would change the fortunes of Microsoft in the search engine market.
