Intel Atom processor range updated with new chips
Intel has updated their Atom range of processors with a couple of new chips.
The company said that the new range includes four unique new versions of Intel Atom.
Intel has also confirmed that Atom is now ready for smartphones with a couple of versions designed for this platform.
However, it is unlikely that these versions are going to be used for smartphones in the coming months.
Intel is working on a new generation of processors for the mobile devices. LG is said to be one of the companies already confirmed to develop products based on them.
Intel is also collaborating with Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company to develop Atom processors for a variety of consumer electronics.
