In their first week of sale, the iPhone was available in 8 countries and sold 1.6M units, while. the Droid went on sale in the US alone and sold 250,000. Without a regional breakdown, it's not possible to say which sold better but a simple division might suggest the iPhone only sold 200,000 in the US. You certainly don't want to dismiss the Droid's sales as unsatisfactory.
