TorrentSpy.com told to pay $111 million to media companies
Motion Picture Association of America has now won a major lawsuit against the torrent search engine service TorrentSpy.com.
Incidentally, TorrentSpy has already closed their operations.
The service has been told to pay $30,000 per violation for nearly 3,700 illegal movies and TV show downloads.

TorrentSpy has been one of the most popular search engine services for finding torrent files.
The people behind TorrentSpy have now announced that they are closing down the operations of the service globally.
A message on the website now states:
We have decided on our own, not due to any court order [...]
